I am finally posting Bo's pirate party pictures. We had alot of fun that day even though I got a little behind and didn't do everything I had planned. I am just glad I remembered to take pictures!!

Snowflake party

Adrina loved her birthday party and so did I! I think I kept it pretty simple and not alot of sweets. Everything made by me! (except the rock candy)

Simple

Theres no doubt about it, I am a simple kind of gal. Don't get me wrong I think topsy-turvy, in-your-face colors, crazy designs are amazazing, but when it comes to cakes, less is more for me. While I love the look of fondant I cannot stand the taste so my favorites are beautifully done butter cream cakes.

So I really havent made a cake in a long time actually. I love looking on blogs and pinterest for ideas and although some of these images have been on other sites, I just can't get enought of them!

I don't know if the things I did in school count. Since most of what  I did was'nt my own idea or creation I don't know if they would be considered mine. Sure I did the work or the production as my classmates liked to call it, but it was the instructors gem. I am proud of what I did, I put everything I had into my projects and only once or twice felt like I could have done better...but I won't tell you which ones they were =)

Pink Cake





I made this cake pink for a very special little girl in my life. She loves pink (of course) and wanted it to be pretty. Simple requests right? Well she seemed to think it was amazing...and it made me happy to see her happy.

Sally and Zac's cake

So Sally was incredibly relaxed about the whole cake process. She wanted chocolate buttercream. I made her a genoise cake with raspbery and chocolate filling, and a chocolate cake with a cream filling. The smallest cake we didnt know exactly what we were going to do, so at the last minute I decided to do the spiral ribbons and it has been one of my favorite cakes that I have done! And so easy!
