Molly's wedding cake

So with nine sisters, there eventually comes a time when one will ask if I can make their wedding cake. Since I am the type of person that can't say no, I did. This was before I had any experience and before I went to school. (I am not going to post pictures of my first cake, although it wasn't to terrible, just leaning.) I vowed to never make another cake for any of my other sisters weddings. That didn't last long. Molly asked me to make hers and that it didn't have to be anything fancy, chocolate even. So I did it, and I am really glad I did.

Chocolate and Strawberries....whats not to love?

I did this cake for an Anniversary for a very sweet couple. The wife knew exactly what she wanted and asked me to make it for her. I was delighted and happy that I could do it. The chocolate shavings were trickier than I thought they would be, but still fun and a great learning experience.

More Chocolate!

I made this for the cutest set of twins' 1st birthday. The daddy wanted chocolate buttercream and the mommy wanted fondant, and voila! This was created! It was my first with so many things, but it was fun! So the adults got to eat the big sinful cake and the twins got to eat the gluten free smash cakes....happiness all around. Cuz thats how I do...

Feels like Spring.....right?

This is a chocolate buttercream with marshmallow fondant decorations. This cake had to be pretty and delicious at the same time, and who says chocolate buttercream can't do both?! I especially love the chocolate ruffles.

I love cake...

There are many people who love cake, but I am one that may obsessed....with eating it. I have done my fair share of making cakes, but my problem is when I find one I like, I tend to stick to it and not try new recipes. Well this blog is going to help me to love all cakes, shapes, sizes and flavors. Lets begin with the fundamentals....chocolate and chocolate! I made this cake for a lovely lady that wanted a western/cowgirl cake without it being to fussy. The funnest part was the belt of course!
